The Society for Korean American Urologists (SKAU) was reorganized in 2005 with the following goals:
1. Jointly conduct the Korean World Urologic Congress with the Korean Urological Association (KUA), with an educational and social emphasis, at the AUA Annual Meeting as an official Specialty Society of the AUA.
2. Act as a liaison organization to the KUA.
3. Promote collaborations among Korean urologists in Korea, US, and worldwide, with special emphasis on advancing the careers of urology residents and junior faculty members in the areas of urology specialty training, clinical research, and basic science research.
